Stimulus Package

Thanks to Mother Goose and Da'Ole Bear our stimulus package came in the mail yesterday. It's a Keurig single brewing system. It's really cool, every cup of coffee/tea or coco is "the first cup". We're having fun playing baresta! Stop by for a fresh Cup O'Joe.

House of Box

If there's an empty box around, you can be sure the creative juices at our house are busy at work. The bears come by it honestly, they had twin babysitters they called "the tent makers" and a neighbor/friend that is CRAZY about boxes.


This week baby bear made a house in the living room out of cardboard.

As I type, it is still there.

He's sooo proud of himself.

Conversation with a teenager

I don't know what it is about being in the car, but it gets my kids talking. We've had some of the best conversations ever.....in the car. I guess it's like home with out the distractions. Yesterday was no exception. The subject of college came up. Teen Bear loves California and would move there tomorrow. So, college can't come soon enough. I say... Hey, maybe we should all move there. I was serious. This was his response....

Buy 2 get 3 Free- Valentines Edition

Our grocery store had cake mixes, frosting AND cookie mixes buy 2 get 3 FREE!!!

I found a new recipe for cake mixes- instead of the water use 1 cup buttermilk add 4 eggs and 1/3 cup oil. Cook as directed. I don't know if it tasted any different but, it was good.

Baby Bear LOVES to cook and he's good at it too! So, this worked out great for him. He will be in business for awhile.

Papa Bear is coming home tomorrow. He's been with his parents this week while his Mom had hip surgery. We're glad she is better and can't wait to see him!

Blog Surfing

I think there's a myth that blogging takes alot of computer time.
Snow and I don't think so. We both get all our news/info online. Daily we make the rounds to our favorite websites and blogs. It takes me no more that 10-15 minutes to create a blog entry, if that. No longer than the average person reading the newspaper. But, I've been called a skimmer, so maybe that's not true.

Today on my "daily rounds" I came across this blog. I think it's going to be one of my new favorites. All the recipes look really yummy! See that didn't take long. How long does it take you to blog?
