The Annual Light Parade

Every year there is a parade down the main street in our community. Every year I tell anyone who will listen that,"I want to be in the parade." Guess what? This year I was! Our church had 2 floats- 1 for junior high and 1 for senior high.

While we were waiting for the parade to start Mrs. F. and I jump on Santa's sleigh and headed over here!

Guess who we ran into? If you follow my blog you might remember K. from VBS

Mrs. F and I were so happy - it looks like we've had more than just coffee!

Happy kids waiting for the pararde to start

I ran into L.- a great friend that I haven't seen in forever!

See you next year!

Christmas Tour of Homes-in your pajamas

Ta-Da!

Today's the day! Am I ready??? Nooooo! The house is a mess, the camera isn't charged and it's overcast outside, not good for taking cheerful pictures. But, I'll take care of all that and have pretty pictures up by the end of the day. Here's a sneak peak:

If you're on the ball and have your pictures ready, link them to my blog for everyone to see. It's easy- Go over to the right of the page under music you'll see
"2008 Christmas Tour of Homes" Snow is already there and could use some company. Follow the directions and be linked up. On a more sophisticated blog, everything would be in this section, but I'm still learning! I can't wait to see all the pretty homes!

Concert I Winter Concert

PSA-This post has been in the works since Wednesday! After days of trying to download video of the concert with NO success, I've conceded to just post pictures.

Teen Bear had his much anticipated winter concert Tuesday night- he's been talking about it for weeks. He is 3rd chair trombone. He advised us where to sit and hoping to get a great view on him-our camera was charged and ready-not something we can always say. This is what we saw:

Which reminds me of this -

With the peeps-

No, D'Ole Bear is not sweating with excitement- it's a shadow!

It's snowing....flurries in the South!

And the kids aren't at all excited...not! Snow and I picked up about a ton of kids between our 2 cars-only one would get in today. Everyone else walked home.

PS mute the music.

13-19

Victory looked to be in sight until the last MINUTE of the game when the other team SCORED!!! This officially concludes the longest football season in history. It started in late July with conditioning, then hurricane Ike came a knockin' and pushed the season back and then there were games cancelled because of rain....

Last night the evening started out mild and ended with a cold front. Snow White was acting out scenes from "The Wizard of Oz". If is wasn't December you would have thought a tornado was coming! The temperature dropped, the wind started to BLOW, and the rain came and came and came.

Teen Bear & Co. are under the blue tarp.
These sweet friends braved the elements to support the team

This is Ms. W. she's "the" favorite sub at school. Her son is #30 on the team.
