How YOU Doin' ?!
Isn't it so funny how boys don't see a mess! These 4 were so content to sit in the kitchen amongst all the ruble of the house and play the WII or XBOX- I can't remember which.
As long as they have friends and something to do they're fine. You'll never guess which one of them slept on the couch Saturday night!
Even if that "something" means checking facebook through the plastic put up to protect the computer from dust!

Hunk-A, Hunk-A, Stud Muffin
One of Joe's many talents is working around the house. He loves to "putter" and I love to give him projects.
So when the epic water leak of '10 ruined our entire wood floor, because of this much damage, my mind went in to home improvement overload.
Because I knew this was in our future
and this
and our furniture would make it's home in the "cozy kitchen"
and if the floors where being replaced, it would be a perfect time to install bead board in the dining room. Because I want it to look like the picture below and pretend I live here.
With MUCH reservation-he said YES! I think his exact words were: I really have serious doubt about this, but I'll do it because it's a good excuse to get the nail gun I've always wanted.
Merry Christmas to the one I love!
My "stud" looking for studs.

They've Got Talent
Joe channeled his enter Tim "the tool man" Allen, enlisted Hunter as his apprentice and powered up the saw.
(The gameroom hasn't been this clean since the day we moved in!)
To build something super cool.
With all the sheet rock and water leak repair. Along with Sping cleaning, a few months late.
Things are definitely not going back in the same place.
For example, Hunter's drums have a new home on the STAGE!

When It Rains It Pours!
Now the oven is not heating up. The contractor doing work in the bathroom called it fatigued! If anything, it's under used, feels left out and died of a broken heart.

My First Boyfriend
and favorite Grandpa would have been 91 today. He was so fun and full of life. An electrician by trade, captain of the sea by choice and in later years king of the road in the RV he and my grandma enjoyed. After Joe asked me to marry him, he asked if I had a trust fund. My Grandpa replied," Well, I trust her and she's fun.."

Progress
Because of a too small shower pan, a faulty cartridge and alot of water in the game room - we are getting a bathroom remodel that we didn't need or want.
looking from in the inside of the rubble
The work has been quick and efficient. Day 1- destruction
Day 2- rebuilt
Day 3- tile is laid as I cross my fingers that we made the right choices!

Is Anyone Goin' to San Antone'
LCHS is - to the state marching band competition at the Alamodome!
It took 4 buses and 3 box trucks to move everyone and their instruments.
While Drew was rooming with 3 others, Hunter was cozy with us. When we arrived we were treated to a great view of the river walk and the sights/sounds of another band warming up.
room service anyone?
marching on to the field at 11am.
their performance
post show pictures.
Drew's parent anxious to hear the results. They came in 20th out of 36 beating out bands they had been competing against in recent weeks. This officially concludes Drew's first marching season. He had a great experience and now doesn't know what he's going to do with himself now that his afternoons are free!
