A few years ago a group of boys on our street started "crashing" the girl scout end of the year party. They thought they were so funny jumping the fence, running around like maniacs and just being crazy in general.
This year the girls took matters into their own hands and decided to "invite" them to play lazer tag.
These two kind, sweet ladies agreed to chaporone, tolerate, feed and control the chaos of 20plus kids. Thank You!
Thanks Girl Scouts for inviting the boys, I hope we can return the favor! They has a GREAT time!
1 cup butter 1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 1/4 cups flour Raspberry jam
Cream butter and sugar together. Add vanilla and salt mix well. Stir in flour. Shape in to round ball- I use a big spoon to measure. Press down the middle of each ball. In the center put a dollop of your favorite jam. Bake 350 for 12 minutes.
He had his "All-Star" band concert tonight. All year they practice with only their instrument. Tonight is the first time that everybody plays together.
Mr. H thinks he does a pretty good job playing the tuba.
Know how we know? He gave baby bear a band certificate at the 6Th grade recognition ceremony. Thanks for being a "great" band teacher Mr. H.!
after blowing up an air mattress, putting it on his bed, with all the pillows & blankets he could find....he yelled, do you want to take a picture of me for your blog? Yes, I do!
"Come-on-I-want-to play-ya" or 6th grade field day on steroids or an epic tale of 2 hours, heat, water, oatmeal, cooking oil, fruit, a dunk tank, 200 kids, 20plus events-6 minutes at each and fun, fun, fun!!!! Grab some sunscreen and a bottle of water. By the time this post is over YOU might be dehydrated, have a sunburn and need a nap from being in the sun for so long! I'm just sayin'.
Watermelon... anyone, anyone?? Side note, this lovely lady picked sneezy, baby bear and hers SLW esquire up from the movies at oh, about 7pm. It's almost 11:30, I guess he's spending the night?? Thanks Miss W.!!
What a difference a year makes- check out these picture of what they were up to a year ago.
Guess they didn't get the memo on having "too much" oatmeal fun.
Snow, in the middle, had the posh job of being the "gatekeeper"
I think she took her job alittle too seriously. OK Snow, well done, you did a good job! You can let them go now.

How come when asked to perform, they NEVER do?! If you have an upcoming 6th grader I HIGHLY recomend the job of timekeeper. Last year I did it with a pro (there are only 2 postions) and it was the first thing I signed up for at orientation. You can follow your child, if he/she will let you, and blow an air horn every 6 minutes. About half way through with all the excitement and heat I ran for cover. Don't you wish you were here?
That's what teen bear called my Mother's Day present, a Brighton wallet on a string with a matching bracelet. Baby Bear noticed they matched and said aaawwwwwwww-that's my girl!
