Oh Snap!
B.Bear's week at camp was cut short last week when HE BROKE HIS RIGHT ARM! While waiting his turn to ski- he was skateboarding. He came down a ramp and the board came out from underneath him. It was obviously broken-he said it was bent at a 120 degree angle. The counselors quickly made a sling out of a pizza box, duct tape and caution tape and got him to an urgent care for x-rays. We are so appreciative the counselors that took care of him-it was 8 hours before we saw him. And when we did, he was not in pain and happy!
Other than that, he had a GREAT week, he loved the theme, his cabin and his counselors. They couldn't have taken better care of him. We HIGHLY recommend TBARM or Camp Travis to anyone thinking of sending their kids to camp.
B. Bear and one of his counselors M. a pre-med students a A&M-Could he have been in better hands? He's having surgery tomorrow to correct his arm-please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He's in great spirits and looking forward to tomorrow, getting a case and being on the road to recovery.

A Date with a Princess
I got to spend the evening with this sweet face-Princess A. Her brother, Da' Bears as well as every other boy you've ever seen on this blog are at summer camp. Our street is VACANT! I was starting to feel lonely! So, I invited the Princess over. We colored, swan, painted nails and watched a movie! We'll have to make it our tradition that while the boys are at camp we hang out.
In full disclosure-Princess A is not the only girl time I had yesterday. I had lunch and saw the new Harry Potter movie with another sweet girl! We were busted by 2 of Da' Bears friends who were in the same theater.

25 Things
I wrote them but never posted on Facebook. Here they are for your reading enjoyment.
25 Things about me- in no particular order
1. Despite having 3 dogs & 1 cat- I am not at ALL an animal person, it’s not in my DNA.
2. I have lived in the south for half my life and still feel like a visitor. At what point do I consider myself a Southerner and start saying “y’all”?
3. Joe & I met in a small East Texas town. He moved there for his job, I moved there for a guy who was just a vessel for us to meet.
4. I always thought I would raise girls. But, the 2 boys I was blessed with are all the girl I’ll ever need.
5. I went to school and worked in retail with Gwen Stefani from “No Doubt” and have the pictures to prove it.
6. I’ve been married for 18 years in May. Joe planned the whole wedding in his hometown; I just had to show up.
7. I love loading up our SUV with kids and listening to them talk, you find out the best stuff!
8. I love cookie dough and cake mix batter. Sometimes the kids and I will make it just to eat it!
9. I don’t scrapbook, instead I have a blog: dorman4.blogspot.com
10. I love being a blonde but sometimes wonder if I’d get more respect if I were a brunette.
11. I’ve always sung in some sort of choir/band.
12. Hi my name is Tiffany, I am a magazineaholic. I think I have to try every beauty product advertised.
13. I miss our old suburban and wish it was in the garage.
14. After Christmas I like to start thinking/planning about all the fun places we’ll go next year.
15. I love Brighton’s new charms & bracelets.
16. As a kid I hated camping, now I love it. It’s all about the infrastructure!
17. I accept I live with boys and all that entails.
18. Thinking about them going off to college sends us into a fetal position, but we are looking forward to being a couple again.
19. When Drew was a baby, people would say “enjoy this time, it flies by” I didn’t believe them. Now I do.
20. I love playing canasta with Trey, Andrea & Joe. No one is more fun than those 3.
21. I love all things Southern Living at Home.
22. My favorite date is at home with the family watching movies.
23. I love Southwest Airlines. I love to play the game of getting the best fares. Sometimes I buy return tickets before I purchase the departures. They don’t charge for baggage or tickets changes. In return, I’ll live with not having an assigned seat.
24. I would move anywhere with Joe on a moments notice…. heard of Baku, Azerbaijan?
Maybe I am Southern- I used some form of the word 4X.

A Night To Remember
Saturday afternoon we loaded the car and headed back to Chicago for Aunt H.'s reception. B. Bear asked her for a "job" at the reception- she lovingly gave him the honor of Master of Ceremonies.
He had been planning his outfit for weeks. We were really proud of his confidence while speaking to a room full of people. The videos are dark- but worth it!
Aunt H. and the Master
Their first dance
Father/Daughter dance
Mother Goose and Da'Bears
Papa cuttin' a rug with the bride
SUPER yummy cake from Windy City Bakery.
Cleaning the Bride's face after the cake cutting.
Goldilocks and 2 of Da'Bears
Those Guys....
Party Overload
Da' Moms
Ode to Michael Jackson- "Thriller"
The after party
M/H may you both live as long you want and never want as long as you live.
Congratulations!

Thank God I'm a Country Boy
If asked, I think that's what Papa's brother would say. He lives in small town U.S.A. a few miles from his sanctuary "the farm". Friday night we got to visit both he and Aunt M.
Who knew he was a cook?! We woke Saturday morning to the aroma of cinnamon goodness. Rumor has it he has lots of good recipes. Share, Share, Share. You can have a guest spot. I just have to come up with the most perfect blog name for you. Suggestions....anyone....anyone.
After breakfast he took us on a swash buckling tour of his land. You would have thought we were on the "Indian Jones" ride at Disneyland. These pictures do not do justice to the terrain.
Country Boy's farm tour included cruising around the farm in his 4 wheel drive, heavy duty, diesel pickup truck. Mega testosterone! He even drove the truck through a raging river that was swollen with rain run-off from a massive storm. I didn't think he would do it - but he did. What a stud!
Afterward he let Da' Bear do what they've been dreaming of.....drive his John Deer RIDING lawn mower!! Heaven!
After lunch at a yummy sandwich shop we were on the road again, next stop the reception! Thanks for the hospitality. We can't wait to visit again.

The Road is Long......
When you're on it looking for your soulmate. Aunt H. found hers from the same place I found mine....the midwest. They were sealed last week at this pretty place.
Waiting for them to make their entrance....it was HOT.
Some of us were melting...
At last....
The new Mr. and Mrs. K.
Meet the Parents
After pictures we headed over to a spot to have the ring ceremony. While we were waiting for everyone da' bears took the opportunity to play "Yankee Swap". They were giving Mother Goose and Da'Ole Bear their Mothers and Fathers Day presents.
It was STILL hot. Looking at the Bride and Groom you would have never known it, they were cool as cucumbers.
After the ring cermenoy we headed over to a super cute house that's been converted into a resturant. Stay tuned for more. Tomorrow's post was Da' Bears favortie stop!
